Dr Gottfried Locher has been the President of the Council of the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches since 2011. He became a member of the Presidium in 2012 and assumed the role of Executive President in 2015 following the unexpected death of Bishop Dr Friedrich Weber.

Dr Miriam Rose has been the Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Jena since 2011.

The Presidium welcomed the new General Secretary of the CPCE, Dr Mario Fischer, a pastor of the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau (EKHN) and until now the manager of the CPCE’s head office. Dr Fischer will assume office after the General Assembly. The departing General Secretary, Dr Michael Bünker, Bishop of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Austria, who has held office since 2007, will be entering retirement in 2019. The head office of the CPCE is permanently located in Vienna.

Dr. John Bradbury ist Pfarrer der United Reformed Church, UK. Er gehörte dem Rat in der abgelaufenen Periode bereits als stellvertretendes Mitglied an.

Dr. Gottfried Locher ist seit 2011 Präsident des Rates des Schweizerischen Evangelischen Kirchenbundes. Er gehört dem Präsidium seit 2012 an und übernahm die Geschäftsführung des Präsidiums 2015 nach dem überraschenden Tod von Bischof Dr. Friedrich Weber.

Dr. Miriam Rose ist seit 2011 Inhaberin des Lehrstuhls für Systematische Theologie an der Universität Jena.

Als neuer Generalsekretär der GEKE wurde Dr. Mario Fischer, Pfarrer der EKHN und bisher Büroleiter der GEKE-Geschäftsstelle, vom neuen Präsidium begrüßt. Er tritt sein Amt nach der Vollversammlung an. Der bisherige Generalsekretär Dr. Michael Bünker, Bischof der Evangelischen Kirche A.B. in Österreich, hatte diese Funktion seit 2007 inne und tritt 2019 in den Ruhestand. Permanenter Sitz der Geschäftsstelle der GEKE ist Wien.
